With the help of our wonderful team of volunteers here at home, and our amazing and committed staff in Venezuela, Tunic of Colors continues to empower children in this economically and politically challenged country.

The Bible says that if we train our children in the way they should go, they will not depart from it.
Our vision at Tunic of Colors is to mentor children and empower them by helping them develop skills to chart a better future for themselves and their communities.

Imagine what can happen in a child’s life when we work together to provide love, care, a healthy meal and a safe place to learn.

Let me share with you about one of the many children whose life is changing because of your caring support.

Carlos is a young boy whose family could not even provide for his basic needs because of the complete financial breakdown in Venezuela.
The devaluation of the Venezuelan currency in relation to the US dollar means that as of now, one US dollar is the equivalent of about 240,000 in Venezuelan money. Add a projected inflation rate of 2,349.28% for 2018 and you get a recipe for suffering, especially the most vulnerable, the children of destitute families.

Carlos came to us malnourished, weak, with serious medical needs. He had no clothes, had not been in school in months. He didn’t have any school supplies and had not had a decent meal in weeks.

With the love and support of our staff, Carlos is now well fed, living in more than adequate conditions. He is in rolled in school, and he is learning how to care for himself and others.

Carlos is now becoming a leader among his friends and has a bright future thanks to caring people like you, who are sharing their resources to change the lives of these beautiful children.
